Membership in Twins by the Bay

Twins by the Bay is a private, non-profit organization run by and for its members. The Board of Directors are all volunteers and parents of multiples.

Established in 1998 by founder Susie Robertson, the goal of Twins by the Bay is to educate, support and assist parents in the raising of multiple-birth children. Twins by the Bay serves families in the East Bay, from Rodeo to Hayward to Walnut Creek, with most members in Berkeley, Oakland, and Alameda.

Membership is only for families with multiples, which includes multiples themselves, as well as grandparents, parents, spouses, siblings and children of multiples.

Twins by the Bay does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, age, disability, marital status, sexual preference or orientation, gender identification, citizenship status, or other legally protected status. Twins by the Bay welcomes multiples and families of multiples from all backgrounds.

Dues

Membership entitles the primary member and one adult family member to access the resources on the club website, private club e-mail listserv (Forums), private Facebook group, club functions and activities, and loaner closets. Dues are $45 per year. Fifteen dollars of each membership is paid to the national twins club, Multiples of America, to access their resources, including a monthly newsletter.

Our fiscal year is August 1 to July 31 so all memberships expire July 31. For new members joining between March 1 and June 30, dues are pro-rated to pay only half a year ($22.50) and also include the following year's dues ($45) for a total of $67.50 with no need to renew until the year after joining. New members joining during our July enrollment period enroll for the following fiscal year.

You are welcome to attend our New & Expectant Support Meetings to see what we are about and meet some of our members and ask questions. See the Event Calendar to find the date of the next meeting.

(Scholarships are available if dues are a hardship.)
